This tool allows you to update the firmware on your MZ-RH1 MiniDisc player directly from your browser.

⚠️ Before You Start:

1. Ensure that your device is in NetMD mode
2. The battery of your device must be fully charged
3. Keep your device plugged in throughout the process

⛔ Important:

Do NOT disconnect your device during flashing. This could corrupt the firmware! The process typically takes 2-3 minutes.

Steps

  1. Click "Connect Device"
  2. Optional: backup your current firmware
  3. While in NetMD mode, click "Enter Programming Mode"
  4. Reconnect to the device
  5. Select a firmware file
  6. Click "Flash New Firmware"
  7. Wait for completion

After Flashing

Remove the battery to restart your device.

Driver configuration

On Windows, you will need Zadig activated for your device in NetMD mode. It is possible that you will also need to re-enable Zadig when the device is in programming mode, as the USB PID may change.

Linux users will need to ensure that their udev configuration is set correct. As is the case with Windows, the USB PID of the device might change in programming mode.
